You're a virgin if the hymen is intact. That is a membrane over the vaginal opening. There's enough of a hole in it that you have your period, but it's not as big as a man's penis. When you have sex for the first time, the hymen tears.

Since penis's vary in size and some sex is more active the others it's not always obvious. But a doctor can definitely tell.

There is no way to know for sure. The hymen can get broken for many other reasons and some girls are born without one. I guess my question would be, why do you need to know? The important thing is making sure neither of you have STDs, and using protection if you do.

ask her. or just see how your relationship goes if you ask her to go to a gynecologist of your choice to verify it. IF she is predisposed to it, a difficult vaginal insertion of your "social" finger could be a positive confirmation, should you attempt to masturbate her.
