Andrew Bynum and Chris Mihm are both said to be available right now- but who knows if there are any takers with good players to give in return- Expect them to sign point guard Marcus Banks and move Mihm for a younger player but I don't see them pulling off any blockbuster deals until mid season at the earliest- I think at some point some team is going to offer the right deal for Lamar Odom and he should be somewhere else by the end of the year. But don't expect KG to be a Laker- LA fans had better hope Kwame Brown is ready to be a big time player and keep their fingers crossed on moving Odom at the right price

There are definitely a lot of players they can do without. For example if they can get another superstar instead of Kobe that would be the greatest improvement. If they could get somebody like Iverson then they would be allright. AI can score just as much as Kobe and he's also a bit of a ballhog but not as much as Kobe. AI does share the ball even though he doesn't do it all the time. And you know that AI won't throw an important game like what Kobe did in game 7 of the Phoenix series. They could also get new point guards. Vujacic is worthless and Smush Parker can dunk but can't do anything else consistently. They could also trade away Kwame Brown. Brown has long had a lazy attitude like when one time in Washington he begged his way out of a playoff practice because of a phantom stomach problem but was seen later eating in a chinese restaurant. And they could get a new coach too. Phil Jackson is considered "good" because he has a lot of rings but those rings were because of Jordan not him. He's just out to sell some more books.

They need to trade lamar odom and kwame brown both to the T-wolves and get KG: That would be the ultimate laker team, kobe and KG "K&K" i can just see it now. With those two they can have a strong ground work for their future.

I heard(rumor) Jermaine O'neal is interested in them. I also heard K.G. wants to wear purple and gold. If he comes to the Lakers, it's a wrap.
