why do people (most of the time girls) like a band b/c the singer is hot or sexy? that is not a reason to like a band people. you should like a band b/c of their music not b/c of their looks. tell me what you think of this.

i dont like the spice girls or the pussy cat dolls. i think the pussy cat dolls are the stupidest group ever (probably cause its rap and hip-hop). their songs are stupid.
the anna kournikova thing is completely different shes not even that hot and she sucks at tennis

I like a band for it's music. If the singer is hot, well that's just and added bonus, but there are so many bands and singers that are so far from hot and they are still great bands. Tom Petty, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine...none of them are lookers.

It draws in the fans, so who's complaining? If I were to think a lead singer was hot, then I'd start buying everything of that band INCLUDING their music. Which then I would like that band.

It's not girls most of the time, I know guys who like Anna Kournikova because she's hot though she has never won a tournament or a big tournament or something like that.

Two words: SEX SELLS. ANY stage performer has their own share of "groupies"; be they in either theater or music. It's always been that way and it continues to remain so.
Popular "bands" like NSYNC or Spice Girls worked sexual charm to sell their music....the latter they cared less of. And you have people who feel they are talented gods of the stage. Frankly, the whole thing amazes me.
Who didn't laugh out loud the second they found out the truth about Milli Vanilli?????

yea but girls/boys under 16 like a band bc of hot boys/girls...but when people get older they dont care what singers look like ...it's about music...so mostly teenagers like hot boys and girls...

Well people hav their favorites..for me its the all american reject and fall out boy for their music.....for my friends its james blunt and daniel powter cas she think theyre hot.....so u like what u like and sum ppl like what the band members look like....(for example maybe the pussycaat dolls)
