There is a man-made lake in San Jose, California called Lake Cunningham. I've made a club at my high school to have students volunteer to help this park from its yearly floods. It was once a flooded hole with messes everywhere. Today, it is a beautiful little native garden with flowers, and many animals. Once school starts again, we'll continue to mulch weed, build walkways .. etc. It's a beautiful place to have picnics.

Well, right now I'm personally limited on time, but I would like to get involved with "pet therapy" Visit Assisted Living homes and/ or terminally ill children/adults. Animals are very theraputic and it would be a fun way to give something back to humanity.

I used to volunteer, working with people who had been sexually assaulted. I wouldn't mind participating in both or either again soon.

I work in a nursing home. I also volunteer at a monthly yard sale at our church, which uses the money for a food pantry. I just contacted a hospital to volunteer for hospice. I recycle everything!

Once I handed out the food for the poor. I also went around earning money for charity. I also started a recycling thing. Which helps save our environment. If you're here to collect info to help the world, good for you!

you can do serveral things, like help clean up a park, do can food drives, if you have a nursing home near you ask about pet therapy (bring in a pet and talk with the elders) its very good for them..because a lot of them just want someone to talk to. there are plenty of things to do.
