yes, when you see someone smile you smile because it is polite. But mainly because you begin to feel happy even if it's just for a second. In a room full of smiling people I doubt there will be one person that has a frown the whole time.

Definitely not. Smiles add a unique beauty and grace to your face and makes your appearance appealing to others.But do not smile with your mouth wide open.That is contagious for others.

definitely true. laughter is contagious too.
but sometimes it isn't. when you're really really depressed, sometimes smiles are contagious. but on a normal day if you saw a guy you know giving you a HUGE GRIN, wouldn't you smile too?

I agree with yawns, but the only reason i feel i smile when someone else does is because i feel like i have to kinda, you know, to be nice. If someone is smiling generally, like not direced towards me, I wont smile if I dont feel like it.

no i usually crack a smile 1 every 3 months and my gil smiles all the time and tries to get me to smile i am happy just i dont smile serios all the time every body tells me to loosen up enjoy life

They are for me - there is nothing nicer than people smiling at you.

For me it is. If you smiled at me I would definetly return it. I have had some pretty lousy days that turned around thanks to a smile!
