My cat pepp is so nice and fluffy and caring. I sware she thinks shes not a cat. I dont even say the C word around her. She cuddles with me when I am sad or happy. She cleans my hair ( as if it were furr) she plays with me and even gives me a few love bites here and there. Shes 10 now and im so worried because she probably has maybe 7-10 years left at the most and I dont know how I can stop thinking about it. Ill post a linok of her picture below. AM I WEIRD?

Hmmm....you love your cat so much but you want to take your dog to the shelter for being sick as stated in an earlier question? Sorry, have trouble believing you can love any animal.

She sure is a beautiful cat...hope she is having a good life.

What a sweetie! Pepp is just too adorable! My cat Reggie is on my lap as I type this, so I know about the companionship. No you're not weird, but you might try concentrating on the time you have together rather than how much longer you will be together. I had to put my beloved dog of 18 years to sleep about a year ago. I miss her dearly, but she will always live on in my heart and so will your Pepp. I had her cremated and when I die, her ashes will be spread with mine. It is not easy to lose your companion, as they are often more devoted to you than people. No matter what they love you. Cherish the time you have together, and after she goes cherish the fond memories that you built together. Hope your precious Pepp is with you for a long time to come!

Awww, your kitty is soooo cute! No way dude, your not weird! Ok, maybe you are a bit, but theres nothing wrong with that, I do the same thing with my kitty, lol. His name is Kobe, and he is really cute too, he has identity issues also, (thinks he's a person, lol) and i don't know what i would do without him either!
Your cat still has at least a few years ahead of her, but she'll have to go eventually, (i know...its sad :( ) but just think of all the fun stuff you did, and how much of a lil' stinker she was! Sounds like your little kitty has a good life, and will be braggin' to all the other kitty angels about it in the after life!

she is so cute. just dont think of her age. After all, it is also a matter of chance how old she will live. An animal may get sick and die or get involved in an accident at any age, another animal can live very long. the only sick thing about u is that u are preoccupied by the (obvious) fact that the cat will die eventually. yes, you will be very sad when this event takes place. But why to be sad IN ADVANCE! that makes nobody good. BE HAPPY THE TWO OF YOU!

If you consider or other people consider you abssessed to a point where you'll kill yourself for her, then yea... That might be a little weird.

A love for an animal is special cause when it clicks, it clicks.

Not a love like between two people but a deep fonding care.

I love my pets, so far I have my 2 month old cat Kyo, my 3 hermit crabs, and Im planning on getting a snake.

My family doesnt really see a reason why I really care for them and all because they just see them as "things". But I see them as creatures like us that also have feelings and personalities.

Its ok to care soo much for an animal, as long as you dont marry it or something, because that would be DEFINETLY be weird! lol No offence.

Awww... She's so cute! I have a cat I practically talk with. You're not wierd. Unless the two of us are wierd. Ha ha. Anyway, when that time comes and she has to "move on", adopt a kitten rigt away... Not as a replacement for Pepp but as a comforter... Or something like that... :D

Cats can be very good companions, and are very loving creatures, They sometimes seem to have a sence about how you are feeling, and will do goofy things to cheer you up, or greet you when you come home, some will even take a bath with you. they will get up with you in the middle of the night, and swirl around your ankles when you are making a snack. I have had dogs and cats my whole life, I enjoy them both, but cats seem to have a little more going on, as far as an intelligent relationship with you. I know some will disagree with me on that, but I really like cats, and they know when someone like cats. My mom had a grey tabby that lived to be 21, and was pretty healthy up to the last year. But she didnt eat people food, only purina cat chow and lots of water.some people find it strange that a guy would like cats, Men are supposed to like dogs ,Well, screw them, like what you like, Anyone who enjoys animals of anykind is healthier and happier for it!

I feel the same way about my little one. I was just thinking that today that I don't know what I would do without her. I am very attached to her and she means so much to me. We actually have conversations with eachother! I talk to her like I am talking to a friend and she will meow at the appopriate times.
You're not weird. You are an animal lover. Some people (like you and me) have an affinty for animals that some people do not understand. Don't worry about her demise now. Live in the moment and love her like you always do.

Yes, you're very weird, but in a way familiar to many people. Take good care of your cat, you have no guarantee of how many years she actually has left, and treat her well, but please be sure that you are getting out and making human friends and loves as well. No one other than your mom will give you the unconditional love your cat does, but the upside of humans is that they usually last longer than a decade. As George Carlin once said, unless you're 78 years old and buying a tortoise, when you buy a pet you're buying a tragedy. I know. I went through it.

well it's not weird but I think it is alittle unusual for a guy to be so sensitive towards a cat. I Love my sisters dog like he's my own and I sometimes get sad at the thought of him not being around. I actually thinks it's kind of cute

Not at all!!!! I have 2 rabbits currently and 5 total so far the past 7 years. Four of those years I have had Humphrey who is a 13lb flemish giant and he acts like a dog. He recognizes me and he waits every morning in the doorway of my bedroom for me to feed him. Evan is his little brother who I got for him after his two older sisters, Suzy and Betty, had passed away. So if you are weird than I am too.
