Do any of you get sick of songs because the radio stations play them way too much? When I have my own CD I don't get sick of songs so quickly. But when I don't have a CD with all the songs I want I listen to and I listen to the radio...I get sick fast. I'm already getting sick of that Nelly Futado song...don't know how to spell futado. Lol!!! But yeah...I'm getting sick already. Does you radio station play things too much? Or is it only my sucky stations? Lol!!

I can get sick of country before I start listening to it. Sorry. Maybe this question only applies to people that listen to rock or pop or some rap. Lol!! I'm sorry. I hate country! Real real sorry!

They kill songs quickly. Like I loved those songs by Gorillaz a few months ago. And I was sick in a week. I hated that...cuz they were really good songs! Lol!!!

Oh my god, the Shakira song...I hated that song from the beginning. And they played it so much that I literally hated the girl that sang it. And it's not her fault that her music sucks and is played so much! Lol!! And some songs they play so much and they suck. Since no one is making good music at the time and I hear it so much I begin to like it. It's really annoying. Because one part of my mind says back away and the other says...since you know all the words...you need to like it. I usually give into that side. Lol!!

When my radio stations have their lunch time 80s time. I cling to that. I absolutely love 80s and it's not played so much. Only once a day. And it's not repeated since there are so many great songs to go back to. Lol!!

And how do they decide which songs get on the radio anyway? I have CDs that the songs on them should be on the radio. And they're never accepted. That also sucks. But is still good because...hello it's the radio...they're gonna play it over and over. Lol!

Holy **** you write alot
Anyway, not all radio stations overpaly music, only the hottest music radio stations. I listen to the radio once in a while, to see what music is new. If its a song I like, then I download it or buy the whole cd. If you like the 80's music played at lunch(its the same thing where I live), then maybe you should listen to stations that play more of a variety of music, or listen to a lot of different radio stations that play music. There's gotta be more radio stations in your area than one. And about why certain songs are played on the radio stations, all the songs played are singles. For example, both of Natasha Bedingfields singles These Words and Unwritten are singles, but when I listened to the CD(my cousin has it, not me) there were a couple songs on there that I liked, called If your Gonna and Drop Me in the Middle. But even though both of those songs are very good and deserve radio airplay way more than the very annoying These Words, they don't get played because Natasha Bedingfield never released these songs as singles.
Holy ****, I write a lot too
Hope this helps you

Yeah. Radio stations overplay the new hits so they get more money. It sucks so I just don't listen to the radio. And if I want a certain song that's not on my cd, I find it on yahoo music.
What kind of a question was that anyway? Seriously, if you're bored - read a book.

Ok...this question I like. When Rob Thomas released his solo cd the radio stations grabbed hold of it and didn't stop playing This is how a heart breaks. Everytime it came on I would put the stupid oldies station on....at least I haven't heard those songs before!

Radio stations get kick-backs from the recording studios to play certain songs. That's why you keep hearing the same crap over and over. Try a smaller alt-rock station and maybe you'll find some variety.

My radio stations play the most popular songs over and over and over again. It gets so annoying but I learn to deal because there is nothing else to do (my family are major music people).

OMG! I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED HOW MUCH SONGS ARE PLAYED (LIKE THE NELLY SONG AND SHAKRIA AND THE TEMPATURE SONG! THANK GAH I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE! I HATE THE STATIONS I GET CAUSE ONLY ONE STATION PLAYS LIKE RAP AND ALTERNATIVE WHICH I LOVE! (I HATE COUNTRY TOO BTW!) AND ITS LIKE THEY PLAY THE SAME SONGS IN THE SAME ORDER AND EVERY HOUR IT STARTS OVER AND YOU HEAR THE SAME SONGS FROM THE HOUR BEFORE! SO NO UR NOT THE ONLY ONE W/ SUCKY STATIONS I THINK EVERYONE HAS SUCKY STATIONS...THAT'S WHY THEY INVENTED THE SATELLITE RADIO WHICH I REALLY WANT!

The radio is never good. You have to put up with lame adds, obnoxious DJs, the same song over and over that you don't like and a certain song that you do like never gets played.
Just stick with CDs
