You have to set up a Yahoo 360 profile and then upload pictures to it.

Open an IM window, it doesn't matter to whom or even if the person is online. U just simply need to see the picture of your avatar. On the bottom right-hand corner of your avatar pic you should find a little arrow. Click it and a drop down menu will appear. Click on "change display image". You'll see a pic of your avatar with a type of check box that will have a blue dot in it, indicating it is your current display picture. Simply use your mouse to click "share my picture" rather than "share my avatar" which is currently selected. If u don't have any pictures yet to choose from, on the right hand side there's the option "select." It will take u to a group of pictures to choose from. Either choose one of those or click "browse" and it will take u to an instruction site where u can upload your own from your computer. :)

You can use any of the personal photos on your Yahoo 360 page.
First you need to start your 360 page and then you go to edit your profile in Answers and use that option.

Well you can only do this if you 18 years old or older. You need to sign up for an 360 account at http://360.yahoo.com
Then upload a pic onto your 360 page. Next, go to your Answers profile and edit it to display the new pic.

get a yahoo 360 page, upload your photos there and use it on yahoo answers.
