Don't get me wrong, I love all of his books. But I'm recently reading-well re reading-something of his, 'Rose Madder' and I'm realizing in a lot of his books he has a lot of racist characters, or sexist characters. Does anybody else notice this? Or maybe it's just the work of art that it is?

***PLEASE nobody take offense to this, it's just a thought that popped into my head. I love S. King to death.

The best part of being an Author is being able to express what you feel and not really having "You" do it.

Plus, it's all for the art of creating it. Just because he says it doesn't always necessarily means he felt it.

No, he is not racist or sexist -- he's just a keen observer of people and writes about them.

i never noticed it, but he makes alot of his movies and books based on his actual dreams and nightmares and alot of the people in his movies & books are also based on this same aspect so maybe he's just trying to represent as much of what is in his dreams and imagination as possible....

I don't think it's him, personally. I think he's just trying to create the character, you know? He's pretty good at it, too!
