I would love to debate specific issues with liberals, but most of what I see here is childish name calling, hatred of the president and conservatives, and conspiracy theories.
I am a conservative and I don't hate libs. I just don't get them.

I agree with you 100% as well. I'd really like to have honest debates with people that disagree with me. I'm not asking to change their minds, just have a good lively honest legitimate spophisticated debate on policies & current events. Too many people on here are just playing games trying to get a rise out of others when that kind of thing certainly doesn't make anyone smarter.

I appreciate & will at this point say THANK YOU to any & all liberals, democrats, independents, or just plain human beings that try to debate here with honesty integrity & mutual respect. To any conservative/republican not doing that & giving us a bad name, please stop!!! Liberals are many times entertaining in the world, but that's a spectator sport best seen from the sidelines.

And I am a liberal and just don't get conservatives. The only name calling I've seen has been by conservatives. From my perspective we just seem to have different priorities and values. You value money, power, and control. We value people and the planet with live on. Very different things. And there's nothing you can say to change what I value, as I'm sure I can't change your values.

No name calling or hatred is necessary. So please stop doing it.

I left a post regarding this last night. I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal so I more of a libertarian but I almost always vote republican.

If you think about it, it makes sense. They are only doing what their Dem leaders are doing which is complaining about what other have done rather than provide a sound solution on how to fix the problem.

you have to be kidding ? Watch Sean Hannity for an hour and THEN tell me who's full of bile ....

What is it that you want to debate ?

In all events, let's get off this labeling that the media have foisted upon us ... if you talk with people honestly you will find there is a lot more in common among people than otherwise

But you can't start the conversation off with, "why are YOU so filled with hate and childish ?"

got it ?

the conservatives that are on the most... are often the most violent offenders of what you speak...

but it does go both ways... although 90 percent of the time, conservatives lash out at others on the board and "libs" lash out at the administration and congress...

blackpride: you hit the nail on the head... liberals don't think "doing anything to win" is worth the cost... as you clearly stated, conservatives do... so how can anyone trust them, when they will do anything (including say anything or lie about anything) to get elected... you can't... you guys keep playing that game... see how it works out for you... America isn't as stupid as you think they are

Recent theory that sounds on the money...liberals run their belief system like a religion. ann coulters book linked in my source. Not the first time this idea of protoreligion has been linked to a specific fanatical group.

Because they are jealous that conservatives win by any means necessary. And Libs aren't smart enough to figure out how to beat them.

I hate to say it but its not just the libs, although I've seen it from them more than the republicans, but we republicans aren't blameless either. I've heard, or should I say read, a lot of vitriol from both sides.

I'm a liberal and I don't name call - it's an ineffective argument tool. If you'd like to debate certain issues I'd be glad to participate =D

Libs are filled with envy of the productive people in our society. Envy leads to hate. All libs have it.
