Scientists (real ones) have been studying and supporting evolution for over 150 years, and still nothing has pointed to creationism. There is clear links and transitional forms between everything in the fossil record to the Class-Family level, if not Genus-Species level. And this includes humans, which there are several 'missing links' which are well described and studied, people just choose to ignore this. Sure, there are still things we don't know, but that's why science is not stagnent and dead. We learn more every day, that's what happens when you keep an open mind and follow the scientific method.
Let me turn your question around, if (as many claim here) Creationism was correct and science could definitively prove Creationism (and thus the existence of God), why would they not? That would be the greatest scientific discovery in the history of the world. No one would pass that up to maintain the 'status quo'. There is no conspiracy to hide creation evidence. Anyone who knows real scientists knows they are glory-mongers first. They love to prove others wrong to enhance their own standing. And if any scientist could prove Creation/God, it would've been done a long time ago.
Go to a museum, take a class in biology, go to reputable sites on the Internet (like AAAS: http://www.aaas.org/news/press_room/evolution/) and find out for yourself.

Evolution on nature is very similar to evolution of ideas and technology. Take for example the computer that you are using right now and think on this equipments 10 or 20 years ago. 50 years ago you need computer the side of a room to do the job of PSP or Nintendo DS. This is evolution, or not? In nature evolution occurs slowly. If you compared the standard high of a human being from 200 years ago with the dimensions today I'm sure there's a difference of at least 6 inches. Did you know what is happening to the wisdom tooth, is in the process of elimination, I only have two and many peoples don't have any at all.

No, nobody can prove anything to someone who is determined not to believe it. If you had a hard set belief that angels pushed the planets around the sky, no amount of explaining or observing gravity at work would change your mind. Just like no amount of observing genetic changes in living organisms and the fossil record will prove evolution to someone who prefers to believe supernatural forces made all species as they are now.
The idea of evolution came about hundreds of years ago when they first started to try to catalog all of the "created" creatures of the world, and assumed species did not change to other species. These early scientists believed all species were created as they are by divine means. But they soon saw that species are not static, but dynamic. It took a number of years with them being able to see species have changed but not knowing how or why, before Charles Darwin suggested it was natural selection that was the mechanism working with evolution. For a century and a half, vast amounts of evidence has supported this idea. For a century and a half, some religious experts have refused to believe any of what they see with their own eyes, as if admitting it exists would destroy their deities. But if you look into their techniques, you'll soon find them to be dishonest, concerned more with looking like they hold the truth than with finding it.

Look around you, one example would be horses, hundred of thousands of years ago horses were about 3 feet tall, slowly they have changed (evolved) into their present form. Many other plants and animals have made "adaptive changes" to survive, Evolution is change, if everything was the same as it was thousands or millions of years ago then you could say there was no evolution. People for example used to be shorter, each generation is taller, that is a process called evolution..evolution is any "change" from generation to generation, just about everything is in a constant process of evolution (change), those who deny the changing process are fooling themselves into accepting that everything living is the same way it was hundreds of millions of years ago. Why some religions stifle free thought and prefer to keep its' members stupid is beyond me, anyone that opens their eyes can see the new species being found all over the world, they are recorded in many sources (news, text books, photos) yet the dogmatic prefer to be in denial that this is "evolution" and hold to the thought that nothing is changing, "it's all a trick fostered by liberals to undermine our faith". If people want to be closed minded that is their privilege, but don't come forcing their out dated beliefs on me, I use my head for something other than a dandruff collection agency. Nye

Evolution is just a theory, you can't have proof of something that is a theory unless backed by scientific evidence. Evolution is a word to discribe developement of man and nature over a period of time on Earth. Thus the theory of evolution is backed by examples of experimenting with DNA as in the case of Dolly the sheep. I do think that nature and people can change over time regarding height and weight owing to environmental conditions and through changes of eating habits and the archaelogical reasearch of human bones discovered over time can prove this. I don't believe at all that man evolved from an ape though.

It is taught as being factual, but it is not. Evolution is a religion. By faith these people hope to find the missing links in order to validate their belief system. If it could be proven that the theory of evolution was actual "science" textbooks would be filled with the information.
In the past there was the "Nebraska Man?" that was formed of a tooth. It turned out the tooth was that of a pig. Then there was the brown moth hoax, where the evidence was altered in order to "prove" evolution was "science". It's a sham religion.

Viruses evolve, that's why there is no cure for the common cold and ther are new kinds of influenza strains every year.
Bacteria evolve, the antibiotics of 30 years ago are nearly useless because bacteria have evolved resistance.
New plant species appear via polyploidy.
Insects evolve, they evolve resistance to pesticides. A new species of mosquito has evolved to live in London's underground (subway) the 'molestus', which speciated from 'culex pipiens'.
Speciation events are underway among the Apple maggot flies that formerly infested only north American Hawthornes, a separate population now exclusively infests the fruit of introduced domestic apple trees.

There is no doubt that species evolve over time. Where I draw the line is that one specie can evolve into another. There is NO fossil evidence that that is possible. If it were true, the earth would be littered with transitions between species and random dead ends. A worm is still a worm and could not possibly evolve into a snake let alone a human being. For me the odds favor intelligent design.

I am so tired of this same stupid question being asked by people who refuse to do any research on this topic and want a one sentance answer by people who know even less.
FACT... there is no such thing as evolution being a THEORY because it's been a FACT for over 100 years... try reading about it in something other than the bible... it just might open your mind.

Mutations is thought to be one of the contributing factors to evolution.
In the bacterium E coli, there is lac gene for using lactose as a source of carbon (food).
Now, consider an E coli strain having nonfunctional lac gene.
Frequency od changing this non-functional gene to functional one by random mutation is less than 1 in 10 to power 15.
When same strain was forced to stay in a medium which contains lactose as the only source of carbon, the frequency of this change from lac - to lac + improved to 1 in 10 to power 8.
This is published in a research paper in scientific journal. This research proves that changes in the living beings take place in response to environmental stimuli; which is the basis of evolution.
