I would say..."Well to some people God really does exist but to some people he just a myth made by people and some people believe in the devil so it all depends whether you believe in God!"

Even when I was in the first grade I was pretty fascinated by looking up at the stars at night. Later in grade school when I was first able to somewhat grasp the distances and sizes relating to the stars and the universe I was extremely fascinated. With all the complexity of the universe, and all its incredible beauty, something had to have created it all. If one wants to define that creating entity as God, go ahead.
However, how one wants to recognize or worship or acknowledge that God, if one is such a young child, should really be up to the parents. My parents brought me up Cathoholic er I mean Catholic, but I am pretty much agnostic now. Religious faith and practice is a family thing at that age.
But you can still explain the concept of God if not religion. Personally I think you can believe in and understand the one and not have to practice the other.

There are gods in the Greek mythologies who were gods of people's imagination. The almighty lightening god, Zeus, looks like human. These god don't exist other than in literature. However, God, the one who you pray to before you go to bed, exist or doesn't exist really depends on whether you believe it in your heart or not. If you believe there is a God, and your prayers make you feel better, then that God in you exists.
