Gas is actually one of the cheapest liquids in America. Do the math...

1 gallon of milk averages at around $3.75-4.00 that equals about $.05 an ounce

1 bottle(20 oz) of soda or juice costs roughly $1.20-1.40 or about $.07 per ounce

1 20oz. bottle of water costs about $1.30 which comes out to approximately $.06 an ounce

And finally gasoline...1 gallon averages to $2.20-$2.30 so it averages to about only 2 1/2 cents per ounce!!!

As you can see gasoline is the cheapest liquid in America by half.

Now I relize that people don't buy 10-20 gallons of the others at a time, I just thought that it would be interesting for people to see how gas prices compare to other common liquids in America.

And in fact, if you subtract out all the tax you pay, the actual cost of the actual stuff that goes in your tank is half that again, or 1 1/4 cents per ounce, using your figures.

I'm tired of hearing that we get a bargain on gas compared to other countries. What they don't say is that in those other countries, you also get free medical care and child care and a lot of other benefits that we pay big money for here. Gas is expensive here for one reason - greed. If not, the oil companies would not be gloating about record-breaking profits every quarter - in the billions. That's greed, pure and simple.

GAS IS EXPENSIVE!!!
Compare Gas to Gas, please.
I went from paying $1.25 a gallon to $3 a gallon that is all that needs to be said.
I'm paying more then double for gas. The other thing is that it happened QUICKLY within 3 years.

oftentimes all gas get to each and each considerable city by potential of pipeline, so it rather is each and all the comparable, whilst the tanker is going to your interior of reach gas station, they upload ingredients. in case you utilize low-priced gas, ie ARCO, it rather is lacking in ingredients in comparison to suitable tier gas. each so oftentimes put in berimans b12 additive, to safeguard the carbon advance , and injectors. this might make up for it. a pair of times a year is fantastic, yet each tank, or each 3000 miles, like the lable says, is overkill, IE waste of funds

You're absolutely right, but just think how much cheaper it would be if the lib, environmental wackos didn't block domestic exploration and refining.
