Buy a microfiber cloth, This is what I use on my laptop, I used wet/dry towelets for laptops which suck. If its a CRT you don't have to use a fancy microfiber cloth.

Good Luck,

It really depends on what your "screen" is made of. Normal glass CRTs clean well with any glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not use alcohol or ammonia on the soft plasma/LCD screens. Diluted dish soap and a soft cloth are okay, then rinse with clean water. Abrasive materials like paper towels and newspaper will sand the surfaces and make them hard to see through if you have to clean them a lot. Alcohol and ammonia will cloud the soft flat panel screens.

Some answers that we use damp cloth. I was advised by pc "doctors" not to use damp cloth for cleaning pc monitor and tv screen. Particle of water may sip through the screen. I am not sure of this but precaution is better than cure.

use a little rubbing alchol, and water on a damp soft rag, and wipe it clean, make sure you turn it off first, and make sure the rag is only damp, wring it out really good, and do not get any water down in the back of the monitor
