What exactly do they do to you in a physical for playing sports?

I am getting ready to try out for our high schools girls basketball team but they told us we need to have a physical and I havent ever had to have one before

I mean they wont do anything that will put me in an uncomfortable position or anything like that

I've heard what they do to guys, they dont do stuff like that to girls do they?

They will check standard things like blood pressure, height, weight, reflexes, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, etc., but will also check your joints to see if your body is healthy enough to withstand the stress of playing the game.

Usually the just do a general physical exam, take your vital signs, height, weight, listen to your heart, lungs, bowel sounds etc. Review any meds and medical history you may have prior to starting a exercise regimen including a sporting activity. They check your height, weight, blood pressure, heart beat and they ask you if you have any trouble moving any limbs. They will also give you an eye test.

a physical is where they test your physical abilities example: jump distance, endurance or running speed

just a regular check-up to see how your bodys doing......but the do this thing to guys were you have to cough while the doctor puts his fingers to our testies.............maybe something similiar to girls just with different "parts" :)
