Acne is primarily caused by your pores clogging from excess oil. The easiest way to prevent it is from using a three system daily routine, such as a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. When choosing a product make sure they are non-comegenic, meaning they do not clog pores, are alcohol free, alcohol over dries your face causing more oil which causes a shine and acne, and oil free products, which adding oil causes the same mess. This should help unclog pores and help your skin stayed balanced. Make sure you buy appropiate skin care for your skin type. Pro Activ is a guaranteed product that works. Also after working out wash your face. Drink lots of water and work out. Circulation in the face improves blood circulation which improves acne and imperance. Also drinking alot of water shrinks pores. Also use an exfoliater once a week to get ride of dead skin cells. Certain indregiants that are great to treat acne is benzol peroxide which kills the bacteria formed in the clogged pores. and salyic acid exfoliates your face making it smoother and helps improve the appearance of acne by slowly exfolitaing it away. Some brands to look for are Pro Activ, Clarins, Shiseido, and Philospohy.

People are morons:
Food does not cause acne unless you're allergic to it. It's been medically proven. If it were true, my entire body would be one giant zit. (I'm a chocolate/soda addict) and my face is virtually clear.
It's mainly hormones and oily skin. I use baby wipes (Unscented) and doused in alcohol to clean off my face twice a day. I follow it up with a lotion medication cream. When I shower, I exfoliate my face with a face scrub and I follow the same baby wipe routine.
Good luck!

Sugar and stress, but make sure you wash your face with soap and acne pads and so acne jell. ( all at Wal-Mart and Target for ten dollars).

It can happen due to your genes, maybe your mom or dad had it at a young age.
Chocolate, peanuts, almonds (well all nuts), tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, peanut butter...people and/or doctors will tell you that these are just old wive's tale but I always break-out when I eat those things, coincidence? I don't think so...

If you use Stridex or something, the acid in it cuts down on bacterial growth (another cause of acne). It could just be hormones, though.

Allowing dead skin cells to build up and clog pore. Exfoliation is key. Use a scrub or buff puff.
