I don't think James Earl Ray was smart enough to convic the crime he did all by him self.I asked because its always asking me in my head.Im not sure but my caunchence keeps telling me the government did.

I'd say those behind the government then, who probably run the government outright today, are responsible for King's death. You must understand that King wasn't some "Savior" of the black race. He was a "front man" for the communists working within America at that time, intending to cause domestic upheaval. He was the "image" people saw and related to with the civil rights movement, but not the "power". And he was killed when those behind him realized that they could get more "mileage" from him dead than alive.

I think the government had nothing to do with his assination. Mostly racial thing.
