She is just not that social, or wanting to be awake to look around and stuff. I'm breastfeeding and she is eating and satisfed and "going" alot, and seems healthy. She wakes to eat like every 2 to 3 hours, I change her then feed her, and then she just goes back to sleep.

It's normal for *some* babies. Some babies are sleepier than others. Some will sleep for 12 or 14 hours a day, and some for 20-22 hours a day.

However, if you had any drugs during labor (epidural, for instance), it could be the drugs that are making her so sleepy. Labor drugs remain in the baby's body for up to 2 months, depending on the total dose received.

my son was exactly the same, I think most healthy happy babies are like that. I miss those days now. My son is going to be 20 months old on June 27th and he is everywhere. He won't sit down, he won't sit still, if he is sitting in his high chair and is done playing with a block or ball it flies across the room with ease. If he doesn't like what you are feeding him for lunch of dinner, you hear it. He is teething again, teeth numbers 14-18 are all coming in right now, I swear this kid has not had a break in teething in the last 15 months straight. They may take a while coming all the way in but they come in pairs and more. This is the worst right now because 4 is the most he has had in at the same time.
I look forward to those easier times again with my next baby soon hopefully.

I breastfed and my son did that. I was always breastfeeding him. He would fall asleep in the middle of it and want more a half hour later. But he grew very fast and it was very surprising. And all the moms that saw us in stores, my mom's friends, etc, would be suprised when I told them he was only two or three months, however old he was at the time. They all fed their kids formula and couldn't believe my child was that young because he was so big. A baby actually digests much more of the breastmilk than the formula and it is much more natural and suited for him. Breast fed babies make for smarter kids too. My son is very smart. He is 5 now. I did not mind all the feeding and I wouldn't do it any differently if I could go back in time, save leaving his father a hell of a lot sooner thatn I did!

It is very normal for a newborn to sleep and eat.

Newborns are very tired, what they have to got through to be born it takes up alot of energy. Dont worry in no time your little bundle of joy will be looking around and making nice noises for you. They get up every two to three hours to eat and then go back to sleep this is all normal, keep up the good work she will respond to you in no time.

She is a very healthy baby. The eat, sleep for 2 hours, have a messy diaper, and start the whole process over again. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Yes!! Completely normal. The times awake will start to increase around 3 months. Your baby is doing exactly what it's supposed to be doing. Eat, sleep, poop, it sounds so cliche because it's ture.

This is perfectly normal. Infants eat and sleep and sometimes cry. You really need to go to your library and ask for some books on normal child development. It is neat to see how quickly babies change, and helpful if you know what to expect. In order to be a good parent, you need to educate yourself about what to expect. I applaud you for breastfeeding, try to continue breastfeeding for as long as possible.
