I suggest that you do what you think is right. If I were in your situation, I would not go, for the safety of my child, and my own. I am Mexican myself, and go to Mexico very often. Believe me, some parts are not as safe as they seem. But it's not just Mexico, it's any other country you have no clue about. Just go with your gut instinct. If all your other family is here, then why flee from them. If he loved you he would not force you to move. There are better opportunities here for your family, as in Mexico there is a lot of employment scarcity. You will probably struggle a lot more there than you would be here, as a stay-at-home mom, unless he's going to make you work?!! Well, just think about it. He might want to be with you, but it is much easier for him to just stay here, in my opinion. You make better money here, you get more help from the government, and is overall a more safe environment than Mexico. I mean I love Mexico and all, but I feel more comfortable here, especially since I was born here, and I am used to this way of life. Think about what is more important to you; your son's growing up experience, or a man who you barely even know, even though he is the father of your child?! Have you thought about when your child grows up? Most children who are born in the states and are taken to Mexico, they grow up there, learn the Spanish language, and don't learn the English one. It's kind of sad in a way, since they were born here, they should have had at least the opportunity to stay, don't you think? Tough decision, but I gave you my opinion. Hope I could be of help! Bye!! Take care and good luck!

I think the hatred you speak of isn't towards Mexicans, but towards illegals. And Mexicans are not the only illegals here. There are plenty of illegals from Asian countries on the west coast. I would assume on the east coast, there are plenty of illegals from Caribbean countries. I understand the need to come here for opportunities that don't exist in Mexico, but I think the citizens of Mexico need to push their own government into cleaning up their act and create opportunities for their citizens, and not rely on the US to take care of them. Next time you are in the US, you should take a tour of an emergency room on the west coast. I'm sure Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Diego, Austin, Dallas, etc would love to show you all the illegals and the HUGE bill that they leave behind.

lthough there are tantalizing fragments of evidence suggesting human habitation of Mexico more than 20,000 years ago (see Tlapacoya archaeological site), there is no uncontested evidence that humans arrived in Mexico earlier than ~15,000 BP. One of those asserting a date of 28,000 years is archaeologist Michael D. Coe of Yale University (see Mexico: From The Olmecs To The Aztecs, 5th Edition published by Thames and Hudson).
