need help!.... starting to knit..... HELP!?

ok i need help to start the knitting process i know the rest but i need help starting it. my mom knows but she doesn't whant to tell me cuz she is being really moody and she's up set at something my sister knows but she is talking to her boyfriend. pleez help!

you start by holding the yarn in your left hand, wrap it clockwise around your thumb so that the yarn crosses in the palm of your hand, take your needle and go up through the yarn, and repeat this process until you have enough stitches on there to make whatever it is that you are making... i hope you could understand this and good luck!!!
