Do you volunteer? Donate to worthy causes? Recycle? Fight poverty? I'm done feeling helpless and hopeless, because I know there are so many of us out here in the world quietly, but powerfully, impacting our communities, locally and globally. I think it's time we leave quiet to the dead and make some noise about what we're doing right. When enough of us believe that real change is possible the forces binding us to this current reality -- one in which our food, water, and air are increasingly toxic and our climate is growing more inhospitable with each passing season -- are broken, and a whole new world is beginning. We create our world; how will we create the one we can all live within?

It all starts with helping one person, when Mother Teresa was asked how she ever brought comfort to thousands of people she said'' It's the one, always the one'', the Talmud has a quote''help one person and it's as if you saved a world''. At one time when I heard someone say ''if I could help one person my life would be worthwhile'',I couldn't grasp it untill I became the person that someone helped, now I have to pass it on.

Foremost.
Do not drive yourself crazy over this,
or let the media push your buttons.
The estimate is there will be an additional 7 billion people added to the world population.
It might just get a bit nastier before it gets better.
When the majority feels we are out of resources and are choking on our own ....
Every effort will be made to implement changes on an effective grand scale.
For my part:
I recycle, tend plants, do not litter, and always respect my surroundings.
And yes, occasioanlly I pick up after some of these disrespectful individuals.
They are proud to be Americans, yet have no problem trashing the place.
I don't get it.
Its like shiting in your own bed and loving it.
Maybe they should give jail sentences for littering. Wonder if it would make a difference.

I donate to the bums, (as a joke) if they ask because in high school we were all bums looking for lunch money right. I never paid those people back so this way i guess i can pass along the kindness.
I used to recycle but my building cancelled the program. They city wouldn't pick up bins with junk in them if nobody was going to do it properly. That's how they handle problems apparently. So i have a pile of boxes in the closet. But I'll go put them in the neighbors recycle box on pick up day, if i have no other place.
I also answer the smart questions on here where people are actually looking for answers to make a difference!
I advocate for a lot of environmental and worldly things.
You know, all the while I'm still learning about myself and things i want to do in life. I wouldn't put this on a book jacket though!
Really, you have to pursue what you want in life and you'll find like-minded people. Extend your cause and with a lot of effort and power and never stop. It takes the people who are not afraid to stand tall and stray from the bunch.

good thoughtful question. even if people who read it could only recycle...they have done something. another action they could take would be to move through the world with compassion and respect.
