How do I swallow?

I was reading the directions on applying ambesol to a hurting gum. It mentions if swallowed to contact poison control immediately. If it goes in your mouth, how are you to avoid swallowing it? Do you spit all the time so you dont swallow it? Or can you swallow normally, just avoiding swallowing a load of it at one time? I dont want to be poisoned!

Just apply it as directed and dont drink it.
What the warning means is do not up end the bottle and drink it.
The small amounts that you use wont hurt you.
Besides the body is absorbing the small amounts that you use, so relax and just do as it says on the bottle.

You put it in your mouth as per the directions and you won't be poisoned. Naturally, you will end up swallowing a small amount, but not enough to harm you. If you have further concerns, contact either your doctor or your dentist before using the product.

u have to be able to swallow whatever is in your mouth or they wouldnt put it on the shelf. Just dont drink the bottle thats all lol.

I think it means, don't drink the tube.... A small amt I don't think would do anything except give your taste buds a zip... but if you're scared, you can always call poison control, but they'll call you back for days to make sure you're still kickin'

You are not supposed to put a lot in your mouth and swallow it. You can swallow normally.

do not swallow the whole tube, it is not a product for drinking, if a little rubs off because of saliva it is fine to swallow.
