I went on depo 3 and a half years ago just after my daughter was born. while i was on it my periods stopped. I stopped the depo about 15 months ago. I got my period back 5 or 6 months ago but it was pretty random until 2 months ago. then i started getting it every other friday until last week. i should have gotten my period last friday but i didn't so i'm a week late. A week ago i started feeling funny too i got hungrier than normal, thought i was going to faint once, and i've been really moody. I also started feeling really nervous at random times during the day for no obvious reason. i took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it came out negative but i'm not totally convinced it was right, it might have been to early to take it. what do you think, am i overreacting? what should i do?

You are almost certainly not pregnant. In fact, you're probably not yet fertile (or at least you *weren't* when having a "period" every 2 weeks). The exception to this would be if you were having light bleeding, then heavier bleeding, then lighter again alternating like that. In that case, the lighter bleeding was probably *ovulation* bleeding (not a period) and the heavier ones periods. But if you are having bleeding every 2 weeks, it is probably *not* a period and *is* a sign that you are *not* ovulating.

I would suggest you read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler to help you determine what is happening with your body and your "cycles". If you are fertile, it will help you determine when you are ovulating and how to time sex so that you have the best chance to get pregnant. If you are *not* fertile, it will help you figure out what *is* going on. Unfortunately, a small number of women are rendered permanently infertile by the use of hormonal birth control...

Call your doctor and set up an appointment for a blood pregnancy test. It will take you a day or two to get in (if you doctor is anything like mine) and any amount of HCG (pregnancy hormone) in your system will show up. It is the most reliable way next to a ultrasound, which really isn't good until you are 5-6 weeks pregnant or more.

wait another couple of days because if u are pregnant then ur HCG levels will double, so if u wait a couple of days than the test can detect it. if ur still not happy with ur decision than go to a doc and get a blood test

you should wait until you can take a test because the depo shot makes your system all messed up..
