He passed away in Waco, Texas and was anywhere from age 10-12.

I checked the obituaries on the Waco paper for that day. There is no Ryan listed. Could it be another day? You can also look at wacotrib.com

Your newspaper has a storage area called a morgue, where they keep all records and articles from the day they started. Go to the newspaper office and ask to use the morgue. You can make copies of anything they have printed. I'm not sure if there is a charge for this, but i"m sure it is minimal.

I would try to find the newspaper's website from that area. They usually have archives you can search on line. Or, email someone at the newspaper and they can provide you with the information.
