hey i wanna know something....why do gurls 13-15 and up have sex?

i always think about not waiting and then my consience tells me "gurl wait for ur husband cuz he is the one u will be able to trust" and i listen to it cuz i know it is right

I believe they do it because they are pressured to make a boy like them, at least thats why all the girls I know who did it young have told me. A long time ago, women got married at those ages, but having sex at a young age has been linked to cervical cancer and other problems we as women can have. It's a good idea to stay a virgin as long as you can (its a personal choice) and ask yourself this question, would you want to have sex for your first time as a 13 year old, get herpes, warts, or another std, and never have even had a mature relationship with someone? Or you could get one of the curable stds, but have it for years because you are young, immature and don't want to tell your parents you are having sex, then become sterile and never be able to have children? Deep huh?

Umm, that's an odd question... Maybe because they are catching up with the rest of the world. Maybe because people don't have to get married anymore. Its no longer horrible to get pregnant out of wed-lock, women can have careers, and divorce is so high that many people at young ages think "why bother?" Most people I know had sex at 16 yrs old, but that was back in the late 90's. I guess things change quickly. Also, religion in some other countries doesn't preach abstinence, even Protestant. They figure why not teach them about safe-sex since they are going to do it anyway. So, I guess its a bit of a cultural thing, there may also be some family aspects.

Well since it looks like I'm never going to be able to get legally married, there is no waiting for me. I'm a virgin, but I'm not going to wait until I'm married (even if I could get married) because it's not that important. The only idea behind waiting for marriage is the religious implications and I'm atheist so I don't give a damn. Pregnancy's never going to happen because two women can't accidentally have children. And as far as STIs go I'm not going to screw the first woman I meet, I'm going to be with them for long enough that we have that trust and history. Why I would do it? Because I want to, because I'm really into my girl, because there aren't too many consequences for me.

To be "cool" and feel like part of the in crowd. Becasue boys are good at presuring girls into it. But mostly because they want to or feel like they have to,because media tell them they should. You are doing the right thing by not having sex, and i know how you feel. But just think, if you find "the one" then when you do have sex, it will be magical, these girls that are having sex at 13-15 and up are just having sex with random guys from the hallway.

Peer pressure, unhappiness with themselves, and the need to proove that they aren't children. The thing is, you are still children and the girls that are having sex are giving away a gift. They don't even realize at that age how precious a gift their body and their heart is. I'm 35 and I'll be honest, I did not wait until I was married. But I did wait until I was an adult and I still have regrets about not saving myself for my husband.

It has alot to do with pressure, also if they think they are in love they have sex because they think this will make an emotional bond between themselves and their partner, but it usually just ends up hurting the girl.
Take my friends 14 year-old step-daughter for example. She really liked the guy she was dating and she wanted to make a stronger bond with him, he wated sex and she wanted to do anything to keep him happy so they did it. A week ago he told her he wanted to move on because he "just wasn't feeling it anymore" So he got what he wanted and left her torn to peices. She thought sex would make them closer, and all it really did was show his true colors. Now he's sleeping with a girl who is supposed to be her friend and she thinks she might be pregnant.
I don't totally disagree with pre-marital sex, I was having sex with the man who is now my husband for a year before we got married, but I also knew he was the one and that we were going to be married. I do however disagree with young teens having sex. It has nothing to do with whether or not you are married, it has to do with the reasons. At 13, 14, 15, 16, even 17 your veiw on love is skewed you may think you are in love, you may even be in love, but most guys at those ages only want one thing, sex. So they might tell a girl anything to get them in bed, even that they love them. So a girl thinks it's safe becuase she just knows they are going to be together for the rest of their lives when the truth is that as soon as he gets what he wants he's going to leave her broken hearted, feeling worhtless, and worse maybe even pregnant.

Low morals. Peer pressure. Wanting to keep the guy. Not treating their body like a temple and treating like a dirty diaper.
KEEP THE LEGS CLOSED UNTIL MARRIAGE. It is good that you are asking questions and thinking about this. Learn from others mistakes.

i idd it at 13 that was because i am in love wit that person and i didnt do it righ away i waited alot of months before doing it i waited about 7 month into are realtionship of doing i did it because i was in love and he will be the only one i probly will ever do that with. but other girl just do it for the fun wich those are sluts and sometimes they arent really inlove with them

girls 13-up until marriage, should not have sex. easy as that. how and why they do it im not sure, prolly just peer pressure and wanting to fit in. i wouldnt feel right if i had sex when i was 13,14,or 15. just be safe id say and hope for no pregnancy.

Because they believe everyone else is doing it and they don't have a lot of respect for themselves.
Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. Stay abstinent for a while longer.
