First thing to do is actually check your connection settings in Yahoo Messenger (I assume that's what you mean by "Can't login to Yahoo"). From the Messenger menu, go to Preferences. Then select Connections from the left. Most home DSL providers do not use proxies, so it should be set for No Proxies. If that fails, try "Firewall with no proxies". You can also try "No Network Detection" if those fail.

Call your service provider for help.
verizon is 1-800-567-6789.
Comcast is the same as if your tv cable went
out.
You can also call your computer support people, some are free- some cost money.
Go to amazon.com and order the Windows XP
Bible by Alan Simpson. it has over 800 pages
of information about your p.c.
You can also call the library and get the book,
or ask the librarian for help. most libraries around here have computer classes for free.
