This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. Did youknow sperm can live inside a woman for up to 5 days but the egg is only alive for 6 - 8 hours? It's best to time intercourse BEFORE you ovulate. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive. My Doctor recommended it to me and after 1 year of trying I got the book. It worked the very next month. It turns out that my timing was wrong due to mis-information. I hope it helps you, too! It's not only about getting pregnant. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

You *could* be pregnant, but with incorrect information, you are reducing your chances...
I would recommend you learn more about how your body works if you want the best chance of getting pregnant. (In fact, I would suggest it for *every* woman, regardless of whether she wants to be pregnant or not!!!)
You do *not* ovulate for several days. You ovulate, and then you are done. It takes minutes, not days.
The *only* way to reliably determine when you are ovulating with reasonable accuracy is to chart your fertility signs. Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler for details on charting. Do not bother with ovulation calendars (they only give *averages*--if you want some average woman to get pregnant, it will help, but not if *you* want to get pregnant!!). Do not bother with ovulation kits (they can be wrong for many reasons).
Once you know when you are ovulating, you can determine when to time sex to get pregnant. Sperm can live in the female body for up to 3-5 days if conditions are right (only a few hours otherwise). The egg lives 6-12 hours (maybe up to 24 occasionally). So you have to time sex for *before* ovulation. Again, charting will let you know when is the right time.
I hope this helps. Good luck!!

are you absolutely sure that you ovulated during this timeframe? How long are your periods exactly? Ovulation occurs about 14 days before the beginning of your next period, and it is recommended that you have sex in the five or so days leading up to ovulation (sperm can last as long as five days in prime conditions) and the day or so following ovulation (egg is only open to conception for about 24 hours). My advice would be to get an ovulation predictor kit next time around; that way, you can better define when you are ovulating. They are supposed to detect a surge in LH; the surge happens about a day and a half prior to ovulation. Hope this helps!

Yes, if you had sex on days of your ovulation, you could be pregnant. Keep on trying.

You had ur period already? Did u have sex afterwards? Well, if u think ur pregnant, take a home pregancy test. If u had ur period already for this month, then id say ur not pregnant, but please take a test, itll let u know. Just in case, get the two pack pregnancy tests.
