I have a lump too, in my left breast, about the size of a chickpea. Given your age, it is unlikely that it is cancer, but not impossible. Mine turned out to be a fibroadenoma - a harmless, benign lump. Hopefully that is what you have, too, and not cancer. Get checked out at the doc as soon as you can - believe me, the peace of mind will be worth the money even if you have to pay for it. (Luckily for me i lived in Massachusetts at the time and found something called the Women's Health Network that took pity on me and paid my bill)

When was the last time you went to see your OB/GYN? When was the last time you had a mammogram? Lumps no matter what their size found in the breasts or arm pits always need to be checked out. To ease your mind about the what ifs, can only be answered by your doctor. Make an appointment to see him or her and they will schedule the proper tests to be done. Your health is very important, not just for you but for those you love too.

No one here can tell you it's malignant or benine. Go see your doctor ASAP please!

Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!

When I was at the doctor she gave me a silicon breast model with different lumps in it so I could feel to see what different cancers feel like in the breast. The most deadly(It spread the fastest) was the smallest and it was the size of a small cherry pitt. Please go to the doctor and have it checked. I don't want to scare you but that little cherry pit when I felt it was the scariest thing I ever felt. It may be nothing. Some of those lumps can be caused by caffiene but why take the chance?

Any lump of any kind needs to be examined by a doctor. A mammogram is a must for you. They aren't as painful as rumor would have it, just a bit uncomfortable.....but worth it. Please go have an exam, if you can't afford it , there are lots of places that give them for free. I just had one a few days ago, I too have fibrous breast, they called me back for two extra x-rays, (all was okay). My mother has fibrous breast and yearly mammograms, she had no lump just a spot on her breast, it was cancer, that was a year ago. After her radiation treatments, etc.her last mammogram found no cancer. Go get an exam, it may save your life. Waiting is deadly. And besides it might be nothing at all. You won't know until you go!

I recently had a mammogram study done and they found a small lump in my breast. They waited 6 months and I had another mammogram. The nurse said that it could be many things: lymph node, a fibroid, etc. I am waiting for the results of the second one.
I would recommend you see your doctor and schedule a mammogram. That would be the best way to determine what it is.

Anytime you find a lump in your breast you should go the the doctor ASAP and get it checked out, because you can't gamble with your health like that. The sooner you catch breast cancer, the more likely you'll be able to survive it.

Go see a doctor. It may be nothing, but It'd be far better to take the time to find out it's nothing than to not bother and discover too late that it's something serious.

Good luck, dear!

well if you are under 35, there is a slim chance it could be cancer, but go to the doctor if it starts to grow, it might just be a cyst, if you get them a lot then you will know what to do, if not they will take an ultrasound to look at it or mammagram

Any lump felt in you breast can be serious. You need to go to your healthcare provider and tell them about this. Let them decide. This is not something to play around with at any age.
