Well, I'm an avid Led Zeppelin fan, but a later band would be Slobberbone (from Texas---but they're broken up now too!)

It's hard to answer a question directly like that, but I think in terms of skill, sing-a-long-ability etc Bon Jovi would be a strong favorite.

Tool. No question about it, because they created a sound of their own, not to be copied by anyone. The sounds and effects they use in their music go hand in hand with Maynard's lyrics.
