If the administration of the shot is not properly done it can cause damage. Many a times immediate swelling would take place revealing that it is going in the wrong way.
THOROMBOSIS can be looked up in medical dictionary.
I do not want to frighten you but stray cases need not make you to see ghost everywhere.

Some shots hurt for a few days, especially tetanus shots. They don't do permanent damange. I'm a cancer patient so I get plenty of shots and both of my arms are doing just fine. Sometimes, if a needle is pulled out too fast, some blood might pool there (causing a bruise) but nothing serious. I've been poked hundreds of times in the last year (and I just turned 25 today!) with no permanent damange. Hope this puts your mind at ease a bit.

A one-time shot like that no. It does go through your muscle and cause "trauma" initially, and that's why it hurts. It's almost like when you work out after you haven't done it for awhile and you feel sore. But then you keep working out and you are fine again. Well your muscle will repair in a few short days and you won't be "damaged."

If you get multiple shots, such as insulin or heparin daily, you could damage your skin/body part. You can get lipodystrophy (bumps around the area of the shots) if you don't rotate the sites that you use.

Relax, your arm will be fine!!! Enjoy your vacation!

ahh you posted this 3 times, that's why I thought I answered it but didn't see it.

Try to relax, you'll be fine. Shots pierce muscles that's what causes the pain but think about it, accupuncture does the same and it's helpful. Muscles heal fast, veins heal pretty fast too like when they draw blood, it's like that. It takes a little more time with tetnus because of the meds in it.

I had a shot called Lupron, omg the needle was the size of a cartoon nurse carrying a shotgiver the size of her body, and I'm ok, I had a sore hip for 2 days but I'm good. You will be too.

depends on a few things.
shots can hurt if they are administered improperly. if they are injecting thick meds they should give you a shot in the bum, things like that and then if they shot into a blood vessel or a tendant, or worse a nerve. dont worry, unless you dont have much of a brain, you cant mess up a shot. you'll be fine in a few more days

it punctures your arms so yes there's a little bit of damage, but it healts, you really need to get off the drama queen act and chill out - if shots did major damage you wouldn't get them, and at that would you rather have the minimal damage to your arm or end up with something like tetanus?

I get three allergy shots a week. NO DAMAGE. The only shot that ever left a mark was the smallpox one and they no longer give that one.

it all depends on you. Are scars noticeable on you after a while? If so you might have one later after a shot.
