Being a fan of suspense and James Patterson I would say Four blind Mice or Beach House or Big Bad Wolf ! yes they are deffy edge of your seat!

Da Vinci Code! -Dan Brown
Memoirs of a Geisha-Arthur Golden
Harry Potter(any book of the series)-J.K Rowling
The Color of my words-Lynn Joseph
A Million Little Pieces- James Frey
Fahrenheit 451- Ray Bradbury

if your point is a lengthy read, I'd suggest you read The Source By James Michener(it's pretty intense)

If you have not read it yet I suggest The Davinci Code If you have read it then try "the master and margarita" by I think it's Micheal Bulgakov, short book and a good read if it is a really long flight try "midnight In the Garden Of Evil" or anything by John o'brian.

Get to the airport early and check out the book racks. Every time I fly that's what I do. You can get the latest & greatest books that way. I bought Memoirs of a Geisha back in '99 at Gatewick in England. Loved it! I got "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold that way too. Hey, if ya like Romance... Nora Roberts has a new one out. Haven't read it but my mom did, says it's awesome!

"the clan of the cave bear", by jean auel. awesome book about a lost cro magnon girl who is adopted by a neanderthal clan. sounds crazy, and stupid, and boring; but it is very well written and is actually a very exciting book. 460+ pages, but is a pretty quick read. it is a series (called "earth's children") and i've been told that there are about 12 in the series. i have seen about five or six in the used book store where i bought this copy.

good luck in your search for a long flight book. consider reading "the clan of the cave bear" even if it isnt for your long flight. you wont regret it.

"Shadow of the WInd", by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. A wonderful story, and a real page-turner. Once you get engrossed in this book, you could fly to Timbuktu and you wouldn't mind.

The Da Vinci code--it'll keep you reading! And it's in paper back now, so it's cheap. Also--The Agony and The Ecstasy--it's a story about Michelangelo
