I am a 24 year old female, I go to school in the evening. and in my classes there are no friend "possibilities" everyone has responsibilities. I work as a teacher in a grammar school. So there is no probability of making a friend past the age of 5 there. I am succesful in everypart of my life except the social part. Any suggestions please....thank you all very much

Clubs and churches are great for meeting people - reading groups (where they read and discuss a particular book) or volunteer work. The problem looks to me like you don't have a lot of time, between work, night school and homework.

My best advice to you is to visualize what you want. Meditate or just sit quietly for 5 or 10 mins at a time picturing how you want your life to be. Maybe you would love to get involved with a sewing circle on satuday afternoons - or maybe you want to find a salsa dancing buddy for wednesday nights. Decide where you have time for socializing and how you best want to spend it - visualize it, see it in your mind as if it has already happened. Then see yourself happy and smiling in this scene. After a week or so, you should see something happening - a chance meeting of an old friend or a co worker needs another for a blind date or something. Only you can make it happen!

Peace!

You and about 10 million other successful people go through this. You get out of school, get a job, and then all the opportunities go away.

There are some good suggestions (I like the charity work especially) in the answers that came before me - I'll just add a thought...

You have limited time, and likely don't want to hit the bars (bad choice, anyway.) I suggest you kill two birds with one stone...hit the university library. I assume there is one associated with your night school. This is an excellent place to get some work done, but also to put yourself in a situation where you are among peers. What better way to meet a 24-yr. old guy who has similar values? If you are going to one of those "for profit" schools that doesn't have a library, hopefully, you live in a city that has a major university - go there.

Good luck with your persuits.
