I have a suzuki 500 Vinson Auto 4x4 . 4 wheel drive does not engage lcd readout shows How do i troubleshoot?

4wd symbol shows on lcd indicator . handle bar swith is complete otherwise machine is in "very good " codition 1100 miles

How do you know 4 wheel drive is not engaging?
I think it only engages in low gear as the steering gets very hard (torque reaction) and you pretty much go in a straight line. Check the owners manual/handbook
Check all electrical connections
