I am in a Hazardous Materials Chemistry Class for College and cannot find my book. I have an assignment due and am lost. The Pb2N2 question is not making this any easier.

I have checked the question repeatedly , searched the web and found nothing. I also cannot find the Chemical Formula for Calcium Bromite

Lead (III) nitride sounds about the best of the lot. To those that suggest lead only exists in (II) and (IV) it may be a mixture of Pb2+, Pb4+ and 2 N(3-)

A bit like how Tl I3 is not Tl3+ and 3I(-), but Tl(1+) and I3(1-)

FWIW Calcium Bromite is Ca(BrO2)2

RE:
What is the Chemical name for Pb2N2?

You're in a college chem class beyond intro and need to ask this?

Pb2N2 is lead (III) nitride. (And no, it's not lead (II) - nitride has a minus 3 charge).

The chemical formula for calcium bromite is Ca(BrO2)2.

Lead Nitrite

It is Lead (II) Nitride.

1) It is not "nitrate" because nitrate is something different:
NO3
2) It is not "Nitrogen" because when a non-metal is placed in a compound, the end of its name changes.

Ok Freshman Chem Flunkers!!! a nitrate is (NO3)2 so.....

lead nitrate would be Pb(NO3)2

Try ..... Lead Thiocyanate

ok... first off its not thiocyanate ( Pb(SCN)2 ) -so if your going to dish it out then you should make sure you can back it up (tvballer) - Jeff K are you sure the formula is correct? if so then lead (II) nitride (Pb3N2) and lead (IV) nitride (Pb3N4) might be the answer... check it because Pb2N2 isnt ringing a bell in inorganic nomenclature
