My vote is for good old Fran Tarkenton. Although the person that should have had that name in the late 70s and early 80s is by far - Jim Zorn from Seattle.

That was Fran Tarkenton. He was the best scrambler in the game. It was like he had eyes in the back of his head. The only person who could avoid hits like he did was Staubach. Two of the best all time QB's.

Yes, and Minnesota is a prime example of what I mean when I need an example of why really mobile QB's aren't always the example. You need more than a QB who can scramble and run.

I am Cowboys fan. I watched when Staubach played, and watched him scramble. But, and this is a big but!, teams have running backs to run the ball, not QB's! I would much prefer Aikman, or Bledsoe as my QB, than Michael Vick because rather than rely on their running ability, they really do have to rely on their passing skills.

They know they have to throw well, and accurate because they can't run for that first down. You give Bledsoe a solid offensive line, and you give him a good running back (my verdict is still out on Julius Jones), and give him good receivers, which he has now, in all aspects, and he will do well, and will have a couple more years left in him. Jim Kelly was 40 when he retired.
