It's always really confused me. Why do they need to know it? Not to mention it seems to be a really old pick-up line, but other than that I can't understand it.

Some people think they know all about you by your sign but this is not true. I agree, it is an old pick up line. Some do it because they don't know how to make real conversation.

Because some people feel that there more compatible with other because of what astrology says, some people use it as a cheap way to pick up dates because its one of the few things in life that all people have in common so they use that to talk to you!Your probably very attractive that's why they ask that like an ice breaker.

Some people want to know because they find out what type of people they'll deal with and a zodiac sign pretty much tells them what to look out for.

Alot of people ask that to see if your sign is compatible with theirs..but that's isn't true..a sign does not determine that is how that person is, and how they lives..but alot of the times, it can tell the truth about certain things of that person though.
