Uniroyal Laredo Cross Country tires are an EXCELLENT choice for a Ford Explorer
If your OEM tire size is P235/75R15 standard load (check the placard at the driver's door), DO NOT substitute LT235/75R15 or P235/75R15XL (extra load) tires. These tires require a higher inflation pressure than Ford recommends for the Explorer.
If you run these tires at the Ford recommended pressure, you are underinflating, and thus, overloading your tires. This can cause sudden, catastrophic air loss, AKA a blowout.
If your OEM tire size is not P235/75R15, do not worry about the Extra Load or LT-Metric warning stated above. Just make sure that the tire in question can carry the load of the vehicle at the recommended air pressure.
Ask your local qualified tire dealer to help you determine the correct tire for your vehicle
