If Algeria and England tie, there's still a chance the US can win the group, if we win the next game with a large goal differential, and England beats Slovenia with a small goal differential, both England and the US will have 5 points, and we'll win on goal differential. Regardless of the outcome, we're not eliminated yet from moving on. Actually, there's one other scenario that we can win the group with, although it's probably more difficult. If England wins this game, then ties Slovenia, there'd be a three-way 5 point tie if we win against Algeria. If we beat Algeria by more points than England or Slovenia won against Algeria, that would do it. We definitely got screwed though by the ref, because while we still have several ways of moving on, we're likely to play a very tough Germany in the Round of 16. Winning the group would've put us in a position to see a quarterfinal, maybe even a semifinal if we're lucky.

If the USA wants a competitive team, they have to change Arena, for a more experience coach in high level performance in this kind of competitions, Arena does not have that, and also scouting to fing players, they have so many people to watch and could play in a preselect ion, but they have to have the person with the experience to choose the players also, not favoritism but ability and desire to play The USA has to look for a good qualifyed staff

All of you that think he should go, never mention who will succed him. There is not a better american coach. And a coach from another country won't care as he does. The truth is that we don't have good players, and we'll have to wait for the next generation to compite and win.

i know most people will disagree with me, but i think he should stay. he has experience not just as a coach, but as a coach for this particular group of players. and i believe that the US team is a work in progress, so next World Cup should produce a better outcome for the US

I say go. The USA talent was misallocated and misused. This is the fault of the coach. Sorry, Bruce, thanks for 2002 but 2006 was awful.

I think he should go as he could not even bring his team to the second round.
