I don't have my navel pierced.
I have my nose pierced. I was 18. FYI: nose piercing is not painful.
I think 15 is an acceptable age to have your navel and/or nose pierced without parental permission, but the law disagrees with me. However, if your parents agree to it an earlier age, then it's okay too.

It really depends on the parent. My parents let the navel peircin go at 13 and the nose they pretty much said you do that when you arent living under this roof. But most states you have to be a certain age before they are even supposed to pierce a child. Even if the parent is present. Where i lived it was 13. But now its 16. But there really isnt a certain age its jus your personal preference.

Piercing may be popular with your peers, but there is something very important you should know before you get anything but your ears pierced:
At least 3/4 of the population of the US is totally disgusted by nose, eyebrow, and tounge piercings. You will miss out on good jobs, friends, potential boyfriends, and so forth because all of those people will take one look at your face and decide that you are an airhead, a criminal, a drug addict, a prostitute, or something similar. It isn't fair, (since you might be perfectly nice, moral, hard-working, and highly intelligent), but it is true!
BTW: I don't know of a single guy who finds nose-piercing a turn on, other than maybe some guys with a lot of piercings themselves. Most find it very disturbing.

My niece got her navel pierced at age 12!Thats rediculus.Her dad wants her to get her eyebrow pierced also.
I think that the age for body piercings should be around age 16 and up.

I think no one should have nose piercing, but if you must I think you should wait until you are about 19, 20, or when your face matures. And for a navel ring (early)17 is fine but if your parents so no wait until youre 18 and do it anyway.

I was 22 when I pierced my navel, and 25 when I pierced my nose.

I don't understand the need for either - I have my ears pierced - 3 times but let the third one grow shut due to continued infections and it just wouldn't heal - earrings are attractive on women and one earring is ok on a man - this is my opineon - using the body as a pin cushion and hanging metal all over it to me is unattractive and good way to get an infection - so I say don't stab holes in yourself - what is the point!
