Listen, you know your wife better than anyone who can answer this question here. It made me smile and warmed my heart when I read your question. It did this because to few spouses show any real devotion and desire to please the other these days. It saddens me how selfish our society has become, with everybody beign taught to take care of self first. When two are married a union forms and that union is an entity with a life of its own. It is no longer two individuals who should look out for number one, but two individuals in a union who should both look out for the other. When we understand we need to nurture the union, we know we should give our 100% all in meeting the needs of our partner, and when both do this with honor and respect between them both will continually get their needs met while the union flurioushes and grows ever healthier. Over time this creates an enviroment in which a truely deep and abiding love can be born which will continue to develope and grow deeper as time goes on.
It just warms my heart reading a question about a need to make a spouse happy, to assist her in feeling special. The main advice I can give is to continue to provide 100% of your heart and soul to her and also pick out a gift from what you know of her. You know her well, delve into this knowlege and you will discover the perfect gift for this first anniversary. It is not important to follow the traditional yearly gift "types". What is important if for your wife to know you know her well enough and took the time to figure out something she likes, something she enjoys or something which she values. Of course she values you before anything else, but you know what I mean. If she enjoys learning, streatching her mind, get her something along those lines. Like tickets to a seminar she would like. If she enjoys music, perhaps taking her to a concert, or finding an old or rare album of a group she likes, If she enjoys the outdoors, or nature, take her camping, watch the sunset and sunrise with her, take hikes, or get her something she can see on the wall for years to come, like a framed sunset or sunrise. If she enjoys the theater take her to a play, or to a comedy club if she enjoys that, or a musical. It is even better if it is something you do not like as much as she does but you take her anyway. That speaks to a womans soul, when her man is willing to take her to a function and spend time with her there which she knows he does not really enjoy as she does. It is not that she wishes to make you miserable, and normally she would never ask you to go to something you do not enjoy, it is the act of being willing to take her to something she really enjoys when you do not. That is a form of demonstating who deeply you love her, how much she means to you, what you are willing to do in order for her to smile and feel loved and cherished. You know what she likes and what she does not like better than any other. If you don't well you should. I think you do and just need a bit of encouragement to think up something as a wonderful gift which will demonstrate the love which you clearly have for her. If I can see it in just a posted question, then she sees it every day. I wish you years of marital joy and the best first anniversary ever!! Blessed Be.

The traditional gift for the first anniversary is paper. I gave my husband tickets to "Phantom of the Opera". Perhaps tickets to a show and dinner?

figure out what she likes and if you can't find that out a necklace would be nice but don't just stop there treat her like a queen all day surprise her with flowers, make her breakfast, just be sweet and for you buy here some "night things" and tell her to model for you

What are some things she loves to do? What are her hobbies? Since you know her far better than any of us do, we'll let you decide.
