I am a female to male transsexual. I look pretty passable as a guy, but my voice still sounds girly, and i've been told I have some "feminine" qualities as well. What are some guy 'tricks of the trade' I should know when it comes to body language, behaviors, and mannerisms? Any other suggestions?

sorry, I should have added that I AM on hormones, and I look VERY passable already. My problem is not with the look, the problem is with how I ACT..I need help on how to ACT like a guy, not how to LOOK like one.

Are you still on hormone replacements? If so, these may take a while to truly take effect and replace your estrogen with tostesterone. You could also try bulking up and working out, sports such as touch football etc... this will help with deepening the voice and building the competitive aggression.
My male partner also says the clue to being a guy is to 'Own your space' and go to football matches etc... in order to build up aggression and own your space a bit more. Also, smoking cigars is supposed to be good for building the timbre of your voice. Good luck and congratulations on becoming who you truly want to be.

You need to be athletic.
Female movements tend to be slinky. Male movements are abrupt and powerful.
With increased strength and faster reflexes that come from athletic activity, it will be easier to mimic men's movemements.
I don't know what to do about the voice...That actress (I can't remember) said she put erasers in the back of her mouth, on her back her teeth. This helped train her to talk with a deeper voice.

I wouldn't worry about passing perfectly, many men display feminine mannerisms and often, a less than perfectly masculine appearance. if you're living openly, any GM's you know well may give you some coaching, if not, any support groups in your area may also be a source of tips on dressing and presenting yourself in a masculine manner.

Good luck, and keep us posted. :)

my advice as one FTM to another: hang around alot of guys and let them pick on you. thats a normal male bonding/learning thing. guys pick on other guys who show too many female qualities. this will point them out to you and you can work on changing them. ask your closest guy friends to help you too.

a good book to read is norah vincents "self made man"
