Unless you use a razor you wouldnt really be shaving the cat, just giving it a haircut, or more like hairscut.

lol ! Our cats have fleas so we thought we would give them hair cuts to get rid of the fleas easier. If your cat is anything like ours, GOOD LUCK! I think I'd rather stick my hand in a blender next time. I guess to answer your question. The hair cut would end when the hair is too short for the electric shears to cut it any shorter.

if it is a tabby cat u can make it look like a lion, thats what we did with our cat when it gets really hot, you can even leave alittle hair left on the tip of the tail, so that would be around its shoulders and everything back
