i am wondering how many people actually think they could do a better job the bush, i personally feel that everyone beats on him but they don't really understand how hard it would be to run a country full of arrogant self-centered people plus dealing with countries that are trying to take over this "free" country and take all of our freedom away.

I am a Canadian but I think President Bush is doing a good job, but I do believe he should have taken his time and got rid of Osama before he went into Iraq; but it is done.

** President Bush has taken acton not all talk like other Presidents have been, he does not let public polls decide what he should or should not do

Bush has completely ruined the support that our country had after 9 - 11. He did this by using the terrorist attacks against us to justify a personal vendetta against Saddam Hussein. The "War on Terror” is a joke, much like the "War on Drugs".
Going after Bin Laden has fallen to the Pakistani's who are ill equipped to catch him. And Al Qaeda has now become a symbol for anti-Americanism all over the globe.
How would I do things different?
Well first off, I would have stayed the coarse on catching Bin Laden. Second, I would never have declared a War on Terrorism, but instead I would stick to the policy that International Islamic extremists are a danger to not only democratic countries, but to all Islamic country's too, because of their use of violence, and their abuse of the Muslim religion. I then would rally the support of Major Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Iran, and Pakistan, to educate and inform Muslims and separate themselves from the extremists.
Most importantly, End the conflict between the Jews and the Palestinians. This over all other conflicts inspires extremists to fight against those that they view are responsible for the Palestinian people being displaced. Without this conflict, a large amount of the anger towards the U.S. would go away.
Instead, Bush has waged a War in Iraq, and further inflamed the anger of Muslims who otherwise would not support extremists.
The War in Iraq has been the single biggest mistake of the Bush Administration, causing us to lose the support of many of the countries that supported us in the War in Afghanistan, costing us billions of dollars, and dividing the country politically.

LMAO....I love how you had to put "free" in quotes when describing America....I guess you must have subconsciously realized that Bush has eroded our personal freedoms so tremendously that the phrase is now a stretch. Under Bush, Big Brother watches our bank accounts, phone calls, e-mails, credit cards, basically everything we do electronically....

So, with regards to that aspect of the war on terror, Bush has stepped waaaaayyyy over the line.

With respect to the military aspect, the invasion of Afghanistan was warranted, but is now going very badly (much worse than the vast majority of Americans realize), because Bush lost focus and got us bogged down in Iraq. The invasion of Iraq has basically CREATED an entire generation of terrorists, as well as fueled anti-American feelings amongst the wealthy Arabs who fund the terrorists. It is basically a recipe for disaster.

personally i think bush could do a much better job. i feel that the war was unnecessary and has no meaning.(notice we have been in war since 911 and the reason of the war keeps changing) several other presidents had to deal with the same arrogant people and didn't cause as much destruction as bush

It might be easier for him if he would stop catering to the corporations that are taking advantage of the self-centered people and using up all of our resources, which, in the process, gets us into countries where terrorists easily find sympathy from exploited locals who are tired of american companies getting rich from their oil.
Nobody is trying to 'take our freedom' away, unless you think freedom somehow requires us to interfere with elections, imprison people indefinitely, torture prisoners, and set up ruthless dictators who are friendly to our profits. Freedom is the way we live, not something we buy from advertisers. Freedom will never be found at the bottom of an oil well, and we aren't going to protect our freedom by ignoring our own transgressions and then killing everyone who hates us. As long as CNN shows different news to the U.S. than it does to the rest of the world, we aren't free.

Bush and any US President is a figure head, only in office for a short time...Congress, the Senate & all the advisors are the ones who make decissions, like what to tell the president so they can guide his decissions...No matter who we elect, they lie to get the job & then do what they want & people are too weak to fire them or refuse to elect "anyone" if none are good choices...We only have the choices we are given, but that doesn't mean any of them are any good...The biggest problems we face right now, have the simplest solutions, but government & media won't listen because making real progress is NOT what they want...

He's done a great job on terrorism, I'm scared to death, of the wasted money, of the way so many countries want to destroy us, of inflation, for the men and woman dieing around the world, etc. Bush knows how hard the Presidents job is, hell he ran for office. If he's finding things a little hot he can resign, and watch Americans sigh with relief. I nominate you as the single American to mourn his loss.

Bush is doing a great job at creating more terror. His policies have led to millions of people in Iraq and Afganistan living in terror. They have also led to extreme unpopularity of the US in the global community. With more angry people, and many more desperate angry people in the world, there is now a greater risk of terrorist acts being commited against the US. But, lots of companies (ie. Halliburton) with close connections to the US government are making a killing thanks to this disgraceful war on terror. I think the Bush administration has done a great job at doing what they set out to do.

Well, do we still have terrorism?

We defeated two empires, Germany and Japan in four years! There's no GOOD reason why all of the U.S. firepower and money cannot defeat a scraggly bunch of militia!

Now, George Bush is only president. Presidents don't actually fight.

But do better than George, yep, I could. Guaranteed. But, I wouldn't use force. I would use investigation and communication.

You must have been brainwashed pretty good. No one is trying to take our freedom away. We are doing it to ourselves by surrendering our rights to the Government.

I agree with the war in Afganisthan but not the war in Iraq. The Iraq war is nothing more than a personal agenda that Bush had with Saddam. The PNAC wanted the war and Bush gave it to them.

Mulitply the number of terrorist attacks in the US after 9/11 by 5. If the answer is more than 0, he's not doing a good job.
