I have been with my husband for 4 years and am currently pregnant with our second child. My husband likes to crack jokes and stuff, which totally puts me out of the mood. What is a good way to keep the fire lit in the bedroom without getting him to crack a joke about the romance I seek?

First, you need to explain to him what he does and how it makes you feel.Honesty and communication are the most important part of any realtionship.Next, the bedroom.Spontaneity and variety.Always mix things up.Never plan it.Try different things and if your open to it, toys.Life is short and a marriage is very important.I think keeping it fun will keep you both interested and actually enhance your sex life.BUT, you need to communicate there too.Talk to him and see what he likes, what he dosent, and where he draws a line.Maybe find out what his fantasies are(doable ones).This will definitely keep your sex life interesting.For toys, try online ordering(very discreet) or if you want to go look, try Spencers or Priscillas.There are many adult stores that have womens interests in mind too.Have fun and congrats on your preganancy.

romancing stuff! You know, all the
little thing that make a woman feel loved.
And being pregnant with your second child
sure makes you want a little tenderness
and cuddling.
Maybe you could ask grandma, aunt or
another family member or friend to take
your other child for a night to stay over
so you have some peace and quit.
Set up a romantic dinner at home and
put a lot of candles in your bedroom
some soft romantic music and tell him you
love him but you need him to be a little bit
more serious about your lovemaking.
Wear something sexy for dinner - later
you can wear something he likes to see you in
and take it from there.

First off, tell him that you love his sense of humor, but that when you're with him in the bedroom you don't appreciate his jokes. Tell him jokes get you out of the mood. After that, then to keep the romance alive... well keep it alive, if you know what I mean. By now you should know what his fantasies are and what turns him on. Ours may change but guys remain static that way, use it to your advantage.

I once knew a couple that never let the other see the other naked unless they were having sex - their theory was they wanted to maintain the mystique of the other person's body. I thought that was a pretty innovative idea until I stayed over one night and slept on the couch only to be awoken by her, naked, wanting to give me a bj on the couch, which I eagerly accepted. Make a nice romantic candlelit dinner w/ some luscious dessert.
