Why more gays than lesbian?

I seem to notice there are more gays than lesbians around. Why is it more males like to be gays than females like to be lesbian? Am I wrong or is it true?

Although I don't have statistic, I think number of gay and les are almost half and half. I know more Les/bi girl friends than gay friends.

I think there's a lot more bi girls than gay+bi guys.
A the same time i think there's more gay guys than lesbos girl.
