This is the thing that drives me nuts about being an American sometimes. I'm black, and I'm American. Let's face it, most people don't see me as being "American" because of my skin tone. I didn't ask for a "black history" month nor to I condem it. I'm glad that my forefathers are remembered and not forgotten for all of the great things they've done for "America" even when "America" enslaved them and treated them as nothing. So to those who complain and ask, "Why don't we have a white history month?" Again, my response is, if you want it, lobby for it. Vote with your feet not with your mouth! :)

Actually that is a good question. I am gay, and have wondered that same question at times; I think people would be less opposed to gay individuals if they didn't have to see guys parading around with body parts hanging out, and rainbow flags on everything. Straight or gay I don't think there is a need to advertise your sexual orientation.

This is a real slippery slope..
but I would say that everyday is Straight Pride day. Us straight people do not have to hide our feelings in public, ie kissing holding hands, most of the population is straight thus we celebrate this everyday.. until the day comes that gays are accepted everyday, then there will no longer need a special pride day.
Same as for the person that stated white history month.. Everyday is white history month, I think we should do away with black history month and just integrate it into history books.. and have it taught everyday.. I do not believe in segregation

Straights already do, these parades are called Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's Day Parades.
Drunk Straights celebrate being accepted by the Catholic church and flaunt their bodies to each other in mindbenders.

I suppose one could have a "straight pride parade" but if it was done, it would be a form of gay bashing.. I do not know if many people would attend.. it is interesting though

I'm gay and I'll go. There are str8 people who attend Gay Prode events. There are tons of parades that are str8 oriented, Thanksgiving Day, St. Patties, etc.
