I am sad that we lost (as usual) and get little comfort from the fact that Mexico played a decent game and the score was close.
The curse of the Mexican Teams is that they don't have a "win it all" mentality, instead a "we did good" mentality.
What most other soccer potency's consider failure, the Mexican Team considers a "learning experience" of which "to be proud off". That song is very old, and I have a 1961 Editorial Cartoon from Abel Quezada complaining about the last 30 years of Soccer learning experience... and this was 45 years ago!

I am still am sad I just can't believe it we had them right were we wanted them! I knew somewhere along Maxi Rodriquez from Argentina would sink any team with his dangerous long kicks. I somewhat blame Oswaldo Sanchez for not blocking that kick he saw it coming and could out dove high right corner of the box which would of deflicked that ball.I think Jesus Corona would of saved that goal he's more acrobactic than Oswaldo I knew Oswaldo would screw up down the line somewhere. Well It's now time to select a new coach for Mexico bring on Hugo Sanchez!!!!

I definitely am. But you know what? they played like never before and they showed everyone that they CAN play. They showed everyone who was watching that Mexico could play and get tough even with a pretty good team like Argentina. I gotta admit it wasn't that bad so we can hold our head high and say VIVA MEXICO!!!
**Hey 4 more years that's nothing I'll be 20, and old enough to go the World Cup!!!**

Yeah, I wanted mexico to win. Although im English I am a fan of mexican football and like to watch them play. Which is more than I can say for our own national team who are an embarrasment to watch sometimes!!. Least you played well, and gave Argentina a good game, So you can hold your heads up high.

I'm so sad Mexico lost because they deserved to win they played soooo much better than Argentina (who won by luck). My heart goes out to them, just thinking about it depresses me. It was so close! I just don't understand why Mexico never passes to the next round they are such soccer fanatics and yet they never seem to advance; 4 more years until we see them play in a world cup again! Hopefully they will win it next time!n(seems like forever right now!)

Yes. It was a very good game, don't get me wrong. Both teams played extremely well, but I think the Ref was on Argentina's side. I was neutral on this game, but some of my Argentinian friends thought he was biased. He pulled out way too many yellow cards on the mexican players and not enough for Argentina's fouls. But hey, it was a great game and had us on the edge of our seats the enire 2 hours!

I was sad that I didn't get to watch...had to work!! :( Thank goodness for text messaging!!!

I think Mexico did good...its unfortunate that they scored an own goal but at least they didn't play like they did in group play (then again, they made it to the next round so it wasn't all too bad). Mexico can say they tried their hardest!

I am sad. I am Bulgarian, but I am fan of Mexico since 1994, when Jorge Campos was playing. Sad and mad, cause I think the Mexicans had great chance to win.
