My daughter is 2 years old and off of formula this is really a question to help my friends who also only believe in organic foods.

I checked the web site, here is what they say:

Why did Horizon Organic discontinue infant formula?

Horizon Organic® Infant Formula with Iron has been in test in Washington, Oregon and California since 2003, and we are proud to have been the first to bring this organic product to market. We continue to believe in the importance of offering parents a certified organic infant formula produced without the use of antibiotics, added growth hormones or dangerous pesticides. We have learned a great deal through our test process. One of the key things we have learned is the importance of having an infrastructure that works closely with pediatricians and supports other organic infant food products. Because this has not been our focus, we have chosen to transition our infant formula business to a company that does have such an infrastructure and focus - The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. We know that Hain Celestial, as another leading organic and natural foods manufacturer, is well regarded and trusted by you and your customers.

Will Hain's product be similar to Horizon Organic's infant formula product?

Horizon Organic will supply organic lactose for Hain's infant formula product and will assist in a smooth transition of this business. Hain's certified organic infant formula, to be sold under the Earth's Best brand, will offer the same wholesome nutrition for babies as Horizon Organic Infant Formula with Iron.

When will Hain's product be available?

We expect the Earth's Best product will be available in the near future - check with your local store for more information. We are pleased that Hain Celestial and its Earth's Best brand will continue to offer this important infant feeding option and we will work with them to ensure the transition is as seamless as possible.

Hmmm, how about something called BREASTMILK. It's free and is WAY better than any formula money can buy. You never run out and it's always heated to the right temperature. No bottles to mess around with in the middle of the night. No stinky diapers and a lot less spit-up and gas.

no, but I read an article today in American Baby magazine that Wal-Mart is one of the few places that sells organic baby formula...I don't know what brand it is though. And if you're really into the organic thing, they also sell organic cotton baby and toddler clothes now too.
