Okay, so I've been on birth control but ocassionaly I forgot a pill here and there, bad I know. Although my significant other wants a little girl we were still trying to be cautious but lately my stomach has been enlarging and getting a little hard, and it's not just weight gain I'm sure althought I've had my periods for the last two months like normal and my stomach still is getting big I don't mean little tummy I mean pretty big rapidly so I'm thinking could I still be pregnant and on my period. I also feel little flutter's tiny one's nothing extreme, so I had went to the doctor and they did a urine test, it was negative but still my stomach no nausea nothing, could there be something else wrong that could cause my stomach to be enlarging I just have a feeling I'm preggo, what should I do? Go back and request a blood test maybe, is any of this even possible??

Well stop taking your birth control now, until you figure out if you are or not. I would get an ultra sound and blood test from the doctor. You can be pregnant and have periods. If your stomach is getting hard already you could be months along. Go to the doctor as soon as possible. good luck

Well, first off, this is probably obvious but it's great that you have stopped taking the pill - but regardless of whether or not you are pregnant make sure you're still using protection in case you're not and then GET pregnant! :-)

Aside from that, I think a blood test is a good idea. If you are far enough along, (which if you are feeling fluttering, you could be) your Hcg could be low enough that it might not even show up anymore, since it spikes and then goes down. If you still feel pregnant after it comes negative talk to your doctor and see what s/he thinks about an ultrasound. Then you would know for SURE. And they'd be able to place a due date for you easier this way as well.

It is very possible to be pregnant and still have a period. I was pregnant with my second child and still had a normal period for five months afterward. It is also possible to have negative pregnancy tests, even blood tests. My sister_in_law had negative tests of both kinds until she was about four months pregnant. The doctors told her that it is because her body didn't produce enough of the hormone for the pregnancy to be detected even through blood work. I'm not too sure what else could be going wrong if pregnancy is not the case. I hope this helps you out a little bit.

Take a blood test. A friend of mine was never late, and one day she went to the doctors and did a urine test and nothing a little while later she did a blood test and she was pregnant. She had a ultra sound and found out she was four months pregnant. She had her period through her whole pregnancy.

When you went to the doctor to get the urine test, did the doctor see you? Did he examine you? If He didn't, you not only need a second opinion, you need to find another doctor. As the urine test was negative for pregnancy and you have an enlarged abdomen, he should not have let you leave his office without giving you a blood test and if that was negative for pregnancy, scheduled other tests to discover the reason for your bigger abdomen.

Getting the blood test maybe your only way. I had a friend who found out she was pregnant through a blood test because all her urine test came up negative. Urine tests are usually enuff but for some woman they jus dont produce enuff hormones. I jus hope you stopped takin that birth control tho. That could eventually become a problem.

Go to the drugstore & get a home pregnancy test. Make sure you wait to do the test till a morning specimen can be collected (like when you wake up in the morning & have to go). If this is negative or positive you need to see the doctor for prenatal care (if positive) or to find why your abdomen is swelling(if negative). Good Luck

It is possible to have your period and be pregnant. I would request a blood test, since they are much more accurate. If it is negative, inform the doc of all the symptoms you've been having, and they will be able to tell you if you should be worried. Good luck.

Maybe your pills are making your body have a so-called"false"pregnancy. or maybe they are making you retain water. When I use to get the depo shot, i started to swell up like the marshmallow man. It was excess water in my system. I would get a 2nd opinion fast. It could be something serious and you don't want to put it off.

i would def talk to your ob/gyn and have them do more test. the last thing you want to do is stay on the pill or not take the pre natual vitamins. there could be other problems for you though. you could have an enlarged ovary...or other medical cause for the inflamation. good luck though if your preg congrats.
