Nurses shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. You can get them in different colors - I got mine at a uniform store (I'm not a nurse, someone told me how comfy these shoes were). I am on my feet for 10-12 hours a day and nurses' shoes really make a difference at the end of the day. Definitely worth the money.

Invest in some comfortable tennis shoes, preferably women's Nike walking shoes for cushion. If your job permits it, (like some working women, they wear the tennis' with socks and their dresses and skirts. Or if you live in a town with a Walmart, in their shoe department, they have some shoes that are called Earth Shoes, that have a built-in cushion in all of their shoes. Walmart also carries beautiful Dr. Scholl's shoes that come in a variety of nice styles. They don't look like the nun shoes or nurse's shoes either. Those shoes are sooo comfortable, your feet will thank you for it! P.S. they don't cost an arm or leg either at Walmart of course!

It's notthe shoes, though I have had a lot of success with stuff from Land's End (sold through their website or Sears stores). However, I developed plantar fascitis in my foot which was very painful and was leading to heel spurs. I was approved for custom orthotics and my insurance covered them, but they would have cost me $400! My podiatrist recommended Superfeet inserts, which are regid arch supports and they worked wonders! I am not sure where you can get them in your area, but there is a place called Holabird Sports near me, and they do a lot of internet orders. The inserts cost about $25 and made a HUGE difference for me.

Birkenstocks!! And, they are not just sandals anymore. Try Birkenstock clogs and shoes.. they have tons of different styles in their various collections. Chefs who stand on their feet all day love the Birki's Professional Clogs. Nurses love Birkenstock Alpro shoes. There are shoes with athletic styling, men's dress shoes, and women's loafers. All Birkenstock footwear feature cork footbeds that mold to the shape of your feet with wear, to create a personal orthotic. Check out a pair of Birkenstock shoes.. your feet will thank you!

I like New Balance. They were great for me when I was waitressing. If price isn't an issue, find a place that sells medical gear and you can get a pair of shoes that are made from molds of your feet.

If you live in the south then there is this foamy brand called Crocs they come in all different colors and 2 different styles. They run ((I think)) about $20 a pair. Personally I think they are ugly as hell but alotta people say they are really comfortable.
D.C.'s ((skate shoes)) are extremely comfortable or Nike Shox

Bosses at sportswear giant Nike have moved on from losing Kanye West as a celebrity collaborator by signing up his rap rival Drake to oversee a line of sneakers.
The Canadian hip hop star will partner with the company's Air Jordan brand, created by and named after basketball legend Michael Jordan.

I don't have any but I've heard Crocs are great. I agree about Danksos, I have those and they are extremely comfortable for both standing and walking.
